1. Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of CA Sorted, a software-as-a-service platform operated by Nikiru Digital, a proprietorship owned by Nikhil Sonawane (“Nikiru Digital”, “CA Sorted”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
CA Sorted provides software tools primarily intended for Chartered Accountants and professionals working with or under Chartered Accountants to manage clients, professional service requests, document collection, recurring work, reminders, communications, and related workflows.
By creating an account, accepting these Terms, accessing CA Sorted, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Services.

Depending on the features available to your account or subscription, the Services may include:

Features may be added, modified, suspended, or discontinued from time to time.
3. Eligibility
CA Sorted is intended primarily for:
- Chartered Accountants;
- CA firms and organisations;
- Employees, associates, assistants, or other professionals working with or under Chartered Accountants; and
- Individuals authorised by a Chartered Accountant or organisation to use CA Sorted for professional work.
You must have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
If you use CA Sorted on behalf of an organisation, firm, or other entity, you represent that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.
4. Your Account
Certain CA Sorted functionality requires an account.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and reasonably complete information.
- Keep your account information reasonably current.
- Protect your login credentials.
- Not share your account credentials with unauthorised persons.
- Notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
- Be responsible for activity carried out through your account, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
- Use the Services only for lawful and authorised purposes.
You must not attempt to access another user’s account or circumvent authentication or authorisation controls.
5. Organisations and Team Members
CA Sorted supports organisations in which multiple CA Users may work together.
Each CA User belongs to an organisation within the platform, and access to client information and related professional data is governed by the organisation and application permissions.
The organisation owner and authorised team members may have different capabilities within the Services.
You must only access clients, service requests, documents, and other information that you are authorised to access.
You must not attempt to bypass organisation-level access controls or access information belonging to another organisation.
6. Client Information
CA Users may use CA Sorted to store and manage information relating to their clients.
Such information may include:
- Names
- Business names
- Email addresses
- Phone numbers
- PAN information
- GST information
- Notes
- Documents
- Service requests
- Service history
- Professional workflow information
- Other information entered by the CA User
The CA User remains responsible for determining what information should be collected from a client and whether the CA User has the appropriate legal authority to collect and process that information.
CA Sorted provides technology for managing such information. CA Sorted does not independently determine the professional, tax, accounting, audit, or legal purpose for which a CA User collects client information.
7. Your Responsibility for Client Data
If you upload, enter, transmit, or otherwise provide information about another person to CA Sorted, you represent that you have the necessary authority or lawful basis to do so.
You are responsible for:
- Providing appropriate privacy notices where required;
- Obtaining required permissions or consent where applicable;
- Using client information lawfully;
- Maintaining appropriate professional confidentiality;
- Ensuring that information entered into CA Sorted is accurate where accuracy is important;
- Managing access to client information appropriately;
- Using client portal links responsibly;
- Complying with professional, tax, accounting, statutory, and other obligations applicable to you.
CA Sorted is not responsible for determining whether your collection or use of client information complies with your professional or legal obligations.
8. Client Portal
CA Sorted may provide a client portal through which a client can access a specific Service Request and submit requested documents.
Client portal access may be provided through a temporary access link rather than a conventional CA Sorted user account.
The portal is intentionally scoped to the relevant Service Request.
A person who receives an active portal access link may be able to access the information and functionality associated with that link.
You must therefore treat portal links as confidential.
CA Users are responsible for sending portal links only to the intended recipient.
Clients are responsible for not forwarding portal links to unauthorised persons.
9. Portal Links, Expiry and Revocation
Portal links may expire or be revoked.
A CA User may also regenerate a portal link, in which case the previous access link may cease to provide access.
If you lose access to a portal link or the link expires, you should contact the relevant Chartered Accountant or professional who provided the link.
CA Sorted may restrict, suspend, revoke, or invalidate portal access where necessary for security, operational, legal, or other legitimate reasons.
The portal architecture uses high-entropy temporary access tokens, hashed storage, expiry, revocation, session validation, and rate limiting.
10. Documents
CA Sorted allows authorised users and, where enabled, clients to upload documents.
Documents may contain sensitive financial, tax, accounting, business, identification, or other information.
You must not upload:
- Material that you do not have permission to upload;
- Material that unlawfully infringes another person’s rights;
- Malicious software or intentionally harmful files;
- Content that violates applicable law;
- Content unrelated to the legitimate professional use of the Services where its inclusion creates unnecessary risk.
You are responsible for reviewing documents before uploading them and ensuring that you are authorised to process them.
11. Document Storage
CA Sorted is designed to store uploaded documents as private application data rather than as publicly accessible files.
Where applicable, storage infrastructure may include private cloud storage such as Amazon S3.
However, you acknowledge that no storage or internet-connected system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You should maintain appropriate copies of important records where required by your professional or legal obligations.
12. Document Reuse
CA Sorted may provide functionality that allows an existing active document to be reused for a relevant document requirement rather than requiring a duplicate upload.
The availability and behaviour of document reuse may depend on the applicable service request and document status.
You remain responsible for determining whether a document is appropriate for the relevant professional purpose.
CA Sorted does not independently certify that a reused document is current, accurate, complete, or legally sufficient.
13. Service Requests
CA Sorted allows CA Users to create and manage Service Requests for their clients.
A Service Request may contain:
- A selected service;
- Client information;
- A relevant period;
- Required document items;
- Document submission status;
- Reminders;
- Portal access;
- Completion information; and
- Other workflow information.
The CA User is responsible for ensuring that the Service Request accurately represents the professional work they intend to perform.
14. Recurring Services and Reminders
CA Sorted may provide recurring service and reminder functionality.
Where enabled, the system may automatically create or schedule Service Requests and reminders according to configurations established by authorised users.
Automated reminders are provided as workflow assistance.
You remain responsible for monitoring your professional obligations, deadlines, statutory dates, filing requirements, and client communications.
CA Sorted does not guarantee that a reminder will be delivered, seen, acted upon, or sufficient to meet any statutory or professional deadline.
15. Email and WhatsApp Communications
CA Sorted may send transactional or service-related communications through email and WhatsApp where those channels are enabled.
Examples include:
- Document requests;
- Portal access notifications;
- Service request notifications;
- Reminders;
- Status notifications;
- Other workflow-related communications.
Message delivery may depend on third-party communication providers, network availability, recipient settings, spam filtering, WhatsApp availability, or other factors outside our control.
A message being successfully submitted to a communication provider does not guarantee that the recipient will receive or read it.
16. WhatsApp Use
Where WhatsApp functionality is available, WhatsApp communications are subject to the applicable rules, policies, and technical limitations of WhatsApp and its service providers.
You must not use CA Sorted’s WhatsApp functionality to send unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, deceptive, threatening, or otherwise prohibited communications.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have appropriate authority to communicate with recipients through WhatsApp.
17. Subscription Plans
CA Sorted may be offered through paid subscription plans.
Available plans, pricing, billing intervals, included functionality, trial periods, and other commercial terms may be displayed within CA Sorted or through the applicable purchase process.
We may offer different subscription plans from time to time.
We reserve the right to introduce new plans, modify existing plans, discontinue plans, or change pricing subject to applicable law and any contractual commitments already made to you.
18. Subscription Fees
Where a paid subscription is purchased, you agree to pay the applicable subscription fees presented to you at the time of purchase.
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
- Prices are quoted in the applicable currency displayed during purchase.
- Subscription fees may be charged according to the selected billing cycle.
- Applicable taxes may be added where required.
- You are responsible for providing accurate billing information.
- You are responsible for maintaining a valid payment method where required.
Any applicable payment processor may impose its own terms and processing requirements.
19. Payment Processing
Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers.
Where a third-party payment provider processes your payment information, that provider’s terms and privacy practices may also apply.
CA Sorted does not intentionally require you to provide complete payment-card information directly to CA Sorted where payment processing is handled through a third-party payment provider.
20. Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription using the cancellation method made available to you or by contacting CA Sorted support.
Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase or required by applicable law, cancellation does not automatically entitle you to a refund for amounts already paid.
The specific refund and cancellation terms applicable to a subscription may also be provided in CA Sorted’s Refund and Cancellation Policy.
21. Refunds
Refund eligibility depends on the applicable subscription terms, the circumstances of the request, and applicable law.
Where a separate Refund and Cancellation Policy applies, that policy forms part of these Terms for the relevant subscription.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts any refund or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
22. Trials and Promotional Offers
CA Sorted may offer free trials, promotional pricing, credits, or other special offers.
The terms applicable to such offers will be communicated when the offer is made.
We may impose eligibility requirements and reasonable restrictions on promotional offers.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotional offers are not guaranteed to continue indefinitely.
23. Taxes
You are responsible for applicable taxes associated with your purchase or use of CA Sorted, except for taxes that we are legally required to collect and remit ourselves.
Where applicable, invoices or tax-related documents may be provided according to the information and functionality available through CA Sorted.
24. Intellectual Property
CA Sorted, including its software, interface, design, branding, logos, documentation, code, workflows, databases, and other platform components, is owned by or licensed to Nikiru Digital and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Except for the limited rights expressly granted by these Terms, we retain all rights, title, and interest in CA Sorted.
You may not:
- Copy the software;
- Reproduce substantial portions of the platform;
- Reverse engineer the Services except where expressly permitted by applicable law;
- Attempt to obtain the source code;
- Remove proprietary notices;
- Create a competing product using protected CA Sorted materials;
- Sell, sublicense, lease, or commercially redistribute the Services unless expressly authorised.
25. Your Data and Ownership
You retain your rights in information and documents that you provide to CA Sorted, subject to the rights necessary for us to operate the Services.
You grant Nikiru Digital a limited, non-exclusive right to host, store, reproduce, transmit, process, and otherwise handle your data to the extent reasonably necessary to:
- Provide CA Sorted;
- Store and retrieve your information;
- Process documents;
- Deliver requested notifications;
- Provide client portal functionality;
- Perform backups and disaster recovery;
- Maintain security;
- Troubleshoot and support the Services;
- Comply with applicable law; and
- Perform other activities reasonably necessary to operate CA Sorted.
We do not acquire ownership of your client documents merely because you upload them to CA Sorted.
26. Aggregated and Operational Information
We may use information generated through operation of CA Sorted for legitimate purposes such as:
- Security;
- Troubleshooting;
- Reliability;
- Performance monitoring;
- Capacity planning;
- Product improvement;
- Abuse prevention;
- Operational analysis.
Where reasonably possible and appropriate, we may use aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify an individual.
We do not sell your client documents or personal information as an advertising product.
27. Privacy
Your use of CA Sorted is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect personal information.
You should read the Privacy Policy together with these Terms.
Where applicable, acceptance of the Privacy Policy may be separately recorded as part of the CA Sorted account-access process.
The CA Sorted architecture requires CA Users to explicitly accept the applicable Terms of Service and Privacy Policy versions before accessing relevant CA application routes.
28. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect the Services and information processed through them.
These measures may include:
- Authentication;
- Authorisation;
- Organisation-level data isolation;
- Access controls;
- Password hashing;
- Rate limiting;
- Secure sessions;
- Hashed portal access tokens;
- Expiry and revocation of portal access;
- Private document storage;
- Security headers;
- Audit records; and
- Other security controls.
No security system can guarantee absolute protection.
You are responsible for protecting your own credentials, devices, passwords, and portal links.
The platform’s security architecture specifically separates CA application access, Platform Administration, and Client Portal capability access.
29. Prohibited Uses
You must not use CA Sorted to:
- Violate applicable law or regulation.
- Commit fraud or facilitate fraudulent activity.
- Impersonate another person or organisation.
- Access another organisation’s data without authorisation.
- Circumvent security or access controls.
- Attempt to discover, exploit, or abuse vulnerabilities.
- Upload malicious software.
- Interfere with the operation of CA Sorted.
- Conduct attacks against the platform or its infrastructure.
- Use automated processes in a manner that places unreasonable load on the Services.
- Send unlawful or abusive communications.
- Use client information without appropriate authority.
- Store information that you are legally prohibited from storing.
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except where legally permitted.
- Resell or redistribute the Services without permission.
- Use CA Sorted to develop or operate a service intended to circumvent these Terms.
- Attempt to gain access to another user’s account, client records, documents, or Service Requests.
- Use the Services in a manner that creates unreasonable security, legal, or operational risk.
30. Unauthorised Access
If you discover or suspect:
- Unauthorised account access;
- A compromised password;
- A leaked portal link;
- Unauthorised access to client information;
- A security vulnerability; or
- Another security incident,
you should notify us as soon as reasonably possible.
We may suspend or restrict affected access while investigating a suspected security incident.
31. Service Availability
We aim to make CA Sorted reliable and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
The Services may occasionally be unavailable because of:

- Network failures;
- Security incidents;
- Third-party service outages;
- Communication-provider failures;
- Hosting-provider failures;
- Force majeure events; or
- Other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We may perform scheduled or emergency maintenance where reasonably necessary.
32. Third-Party Services
CA Sorted may rely on third-party infrastructure and services, including providers for:
- Hosting;
- Cloud storage;
- Email;
- WhatsApp;
- Payment processing;
- Infrastructure;
- Background processing;
- Other technical services.
Third-party services may have their own outages, limitations, terms, and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for failures caused solely by third-party services beyond our reasonable control.
33. Professional and Statutory Deadlines
CA Sorted provides workflow, document-management, reminder, and communication tools.
CA Sorted is not a substitute for professional judgment, statutory calendars, government portals, official notices, or independent deadline management.
You remain responsible for verifying:
- Filing deadlines;
- Tax deadlines;
- Audit deadlines;
- Client obligations;
- Government requirements;
- Regulatory changes;
- Applicable professional requirements; and
- Other time-sensitive obligations.
A reminder generated by CA Sorted must not be treated as a guarantee that a statutory or professional deadline has been identified correctly.
34. No Professional Advice
CA Sorted is software.
Nikiru Digital does not provide accounting, auditing, taxation, legal, financial, or other professional advice merely by providing CA Sorted.
The Services do not determine:
- Whether a tax return is correct;
- Whether a filing is required;
- Whether a document is sufficient;
- Whether an audit requirement has been satisfied;
- Whether a statutory deadline applies;
- Whether a client is compliant; or
- Whether a professional conclusion is correct.
Professional decisions remain the responsibility of the relevant professional.
35. Accuracy of Information
We aim to provide reliable software functionality, but we do not guarantee that all information displayed by the Services will always be:
- Complete;
- Accurate;
- Current;
- Error-free; or
- Suitable for a particular professional purpose.
You should independently verify information where accuracy is important.
36. Account Suspension

Where reasonably appropriate, we may provide notice before suspension.
We may immediately restrict access where circumstances reasonably require immediate action.
37. Termination by You
You may stop using CA Sorted at any time.
If you have a paid subscription, cancellation of the subscription and termination of your account may be subject to the applicable subscription terms.
Stopping use of the Services does not automatically release you from obligations that arose before termination.
38. Termination by Us
We may terminate or suspend your access where:
- You materially violate these Terms;
- You engage in fraudulent or unlawful activity;
- Your use creates a material security risk;
- You repeatedly misuse the Services;

- Information may be retained where required for legal, security, accounting, dispute-resolution, or legitimate business purposes;
- Information may subsequently be deleted or otherwise handled according to our Privacy Policy and applicable retention practices.
You are responsible for exporting or obtaining copies of information you need before termination where the relevant export functionality is available.
40. Data After Account Closure
We do not promise that all information will be immediately deleted when an account is closed.
Information may remain for a reasonable period where necessary for:
- Legal obligations;
- Tax or accounting records;

When material changes are made, we may provide notice through CA Sorted, email, or another appropriate method.

45. Electronic Acceptance
You may accept these Terms electronically through CA Sorted.
Electronic acceptance, including selecting an acceptance control or otherwise completing an acceptance action presented by CA Sorted, constitutes your agreement to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
CA Sorted may record:
- The acceptance date and time;
- The accepted Terms version;
- The accepted Privacy Policy version; and
- Other relevant acceptance metadata.
The system is designed so that a new Terms or Privacy Policy version may require the CA User to accept the updated version before accessing relevant application functionality.
46. Confidentiality
You may receive or access confidential information belonging to clients, your organisation, other users, or other parties through CA Sorted.
You must maintain appropriate confidentiality over information you access through the Services.
Nothing in these Terms authorises you to disclose another person’s confidential information except where you have the necessary authority or where disclosure is required by law.

You agree to use CA Sorted in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
You are responsible for determining which laws and professional requirements apply to your particular activities.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to permit conduct that would violate applicable law.
